Maine’s Largest Business Membership Organization to Offer Leading Business Payment Solution To the Region’s Business Community

PORTLAND, ME — July 30, 2001 — PayMode®, the only bank-neutral, electronic payment solution enabling secure, information rich, business-to-business transactions, has been chosen by the Greater Portland Chamber of Commerce to enable Maine businesses to make secure, electronic payments to their vendors, suppliers and service providers.

PayMode will enable Chamber members to make and receive electronic payments to and from vendors, suppliers, service providers and business customers. Designed to integrate seamlessly with existing accounts payable and accounts receivable systems or accounting software, PayMode allows businesses to include critical remittance information along with their payments, all in digital format. With PayMode, businesses do not need to purchase software, replace existing financial or accounting systems, or change banks or bank accounts.

Members of the Greater Portland Chambers of Commerce will be eligible to receive a significant savings when they enroll with PayMode, including a waiver of the $35 per month subscription fee, free disbursements and a 10 percent discount off integration fees if they choose to integrate PayMode with their accounts payable/accounts receivable systems.
